Chicago Polka Records is proud to present this truly unusual album - unusual in many respects.  It features an unusual band, the Hi Notes, a group which pioneered and exemplified the "modern" sound in Chicago style polka music.  Here is a group which constantly sought and attained new sounds striking musical voicings and colorful arrangements that were a hallmark of the Hi Notes.  Essentially being an instrumental group, the Hi Notes sought an outstanding vocalist to do the type of music that is always popular, the Polish Vocal.  Chicago Polkas scooped and astonished the polka field by furnishing Gene Wisniewski of Hartford, Ct.  THis popular Eastern vocalist and bandleader had done more than 20 LP recordings.  In this album he sings all new Polish vocals which were obtained from old Polish manuscripts, folk literature and the like... and how well he does them!  The balance of the album consists of all new instrumentals.
