Description

This group is from the town of Grabownica in southeastern Poland directly south of Rzeszow. The band was formed in 1964 and today is composed of musicians and singers who perform in regional Rzeszow costumes. This album was recorded in May 2022 in Grabownica. 23 Marian hymns sung in honor of Our Lady Of The Chapel in Grabownica. The story of the Chapel is below.

There was a chapel in the forest in Grabownica. She was called Gypsy. In the chapel there was a picture of Our Lady of the Rosary decorated with beautifully made wreaths. The chapel was richly decorated and pleased people's eyes. And even more pleasing was the painting, which was considered miraculous. It was famous for the healing a child. In the village, in the part of the forest called "Na Polanie", there were cottages where Gypsy families lived. In one of them, a young mother was expecting a baby. When it was time for the baby to be born, joy reigned in the family. The baby was beautiful and his mother was happy. After some time, it was noticed that something was wrong with the child and a doctor was called. He said that the baby was born blind. Whereas before the whole family was celebrating, now they fell into despair. Nobody knew what to do. Only the young mother got dressed, wrapped the baby in a blanket and ran out of the house with him. She stopped only at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Gypsy. There she placed the child on the altar. She fell to her knees and cried out:
- Mother of God, you are a mother yourself, save my child from darkness. Don't let it never see the sun and the beauty of the world that God has given us.
A gypsy scream was heard in the area as a poor woman begged for mercy at the shrine. And a miracle happened. The Mother of God interceded for the child who had seen his sight.
After these events, the fame of the picture spread.
