This beautifully designed quail egg is dyed one color, then white wax is melted and applied to form an intricate design which is left on the surface. Please note that quail eggs shells are naturally speckled brown and black and the black surfaces remain black after dyeing. The egg is emptied and strung with ribbon for hanging or you can remove the ribbon. This is the work of master folk artist Anna Kicman. Her work is characterized by exquisite detail.
