From the Museum's collections we have selected his finest and most interesting oil paintings, watercolours and drawings, supplementing them with works from other museums. Some of them are being published for the first time. The reproductions are accompanied by notes with information on the exhibits. Works by Jan Matejko are to be found in two branches of the National Museum in Cracow, the Jan Matejko House, and the Gallery of Nineteenth-Century Polish Art in the Cloth Hall.
