Description

The Cookie Connection, Hamtramck, MI There are 12 of us: longtime friends brought together in the 1980's by our Polish heritage, our connection to the city of Hamtramck, Michigan, one the largest enclave of Polish residents west of Warsaw, and many of our children who attended the same elementary school. Our children have grown, some are married, some have children of their own, and some have moved on to pursue their careers. But not us! We stuck together like peanut butter on the roofs of our mouths. One of the events that we look forward to is our annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. We have taken our Exchange to new heights as this story will explain. So we decided to prepare a simply sensational cookbook to celebrate our 10th annual holiday extravaganza! How to host a cookie exchange, ideas on packaging, our 10 years of cookie recipes, plus a dozen dinner menus, can be found in this book. We sincerely hope you enjoy them. As the Polish would say: "Smacznego." Please note that although there are several Polish recipes included most are just good tasting delights! (Yes, I am one of the gals! - Joan) Check out their website for other books, aprons and spoons! www.traditionsbythedozen.com
