Hand Made in Southern Poland Polish wooden plates are made from Linden wood in the mountain region of southern Poland called Podhale. The plates are cut and shaped on a lathe by hand. The floral designs are burned into the wood then painted after staining and varnishing. All the flowers are surrounded by inlaid with copper and brass wire. They are delightful works of folk art to be cherished for generations. Please note that due to their large diameter some curvature will be present.
