Kazimierz Pulaski of Slepowron, Poland, in the USA, often written Casimir Pulaski was a Polish soldier and politician. A notable member of the Polish gentry, he was the commander of the Bar Confederation against the Russian domination of the Polish-Lithua Perhaps Poland's most famous king, he was also arguably the country's most talented general. The son of a famous soldier, Jakub Sobieski, and grandson of Hetman Zolkiewski, his career path was chosen for him, and he became Grand Hetman in 1668. King Stanislaw August Poniatowski dressed in his coronation clothes, November 25, 1764.

King Stefan Batory 1533 -1586 - Stefan Batory was born September 27, 1533, in Somlyo, Transylvania, to the local branch of the ancient Bathory family, now extinct, but originally almost coeval with the Hungarian monarchy. Bathory had the merit of being a Sigismund's reign was a period of internal turmoil and external expansion. Jan Onufry Zagloba is a fictional character from the Trilogy by Henryk Sienkiewicz. Supposed to be born about 1600, Zagloba appears in With Fire and Sword (Ogniem i Mieczem) and The Deluge (Potop) Szlachta was the noble class in Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the two countries that later jointly formed the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Culinary Queen - Bona Sforza, the wife of King Zygmunt I, came to Poland from Italy in 1518.  She brought with her many foods which had never been seen in Polish kitchens.  Several vegetables, including celery, leeks and lettuce were first eaten in Po Stanczyk was the most famous court jester in Polish history. He was employed by three Polish kings: Alexander, Sigismund the Old and Sigismund Augustus. Some historians suppose that "Stanczyk" was a diminutive of "Stanislaw Gaska", the jester's true name. Szlachta was the noble class in Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the two countries that later jointly formed the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The szlachta arose in the late Middle Ages and existed through the 18th century and into the 19th.
