Poland was the first victim of an armed aggression in World War II and also the first to resist the aggression. Polish resistance in September 1939 initiated the process of forming an anti-Nazi coalition, of which Poland was an active member. This book presents the highlights of Polish military efforts during the war.
The book is divided into four chapters:
1. The September 1939 Campaign
2. Polish Armed Forces in Exile
3. Fighting in Occupied Poland
4. The Polish Army in the Soviet Union, 1943-1945
