This is a very very nice egg stand. It seems to fit the wooden carved Pysanky very well (which is about the size of a medium chicken egg). I don't know if I would display a duck or goose egg on this stand though, as the mouth of the stand is not as wide in diameter. If it is a blown egg, I would not like to risk my more painstakingly crafted or expensive delicate eggs being knocked off if it is set on a table top. However, this lovely stand is a great compliment to a fancy pysanky and also to the advertised tailored egg stand, which is a flattened version of this one, yet a bit larger in diameter.
