Description

Since Poland has been an agricultural country for centuries, harvest festivals have been held traditionally on or about August 15, Assumption Day, known as the Feast of Our Lady of the Harvest.
In the old days the harvest celebration was held by the owner of a large estate for the people who worked during the reaping.
This beautiful set of traditional hand made dolls commemorates that annual event.  The dolls are dressed in four different folk costumes. (excerpt from Polish Customs by Friends of Polish Art).  Whether you're adding to a collection or just starting one out. These dolls are perfect, clothed in authentic regional folk costumes, as certified by the Polish Ministry of Culture. These traditional Polish dolls are completely handmade. Notice the fine attention to detail and workmanship. To prevent damage in shipping, some parts may be shipped un-assembled.
Assembly is easy but will require a little white glue like Elmer's.
