Description
The book includes authentic testimonies of people saved from the Holocaust by Oskar Schindler. This is the story of the life and activity of a man driven by the whirlwind of war, told by his former workers. Oskar Schindler, who opposed the plan of the complete extermination of the Jewish nation and saved a thousand Cracovian citizens in his "Noah's Ark" deserves our remembrance and appreciation.
Professor Skitnicki is Department Head of Hematology of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. In addition to his tremendous scientific accomplishments in the prevention and treatment of blood illnesses, Dr. Skitnicki has devoted his life to Polish-Jewish and Polish-Israeli relations and reconciliation. Skotnicki has been a prominent leader in the creation of photographic exhibitions detailing Poland's Jewish Community prior to World War II, the Nazi and Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 and occupied Krakow during WWII. Dr. Skotnicki's grandparents are among Poland's Righteous; rescuers who hid Jews during the Holocaust.
