The festival originated from the legend about a Tartar invasion in 1281 and their defeat by heroic Krakow raftsmen.  The festival is of course very popular in Krakow and here we see the hero in Tartar disguise, riding a wooden horse and surrounded by his entourage of soldiers and musicians.  They come from the ancient suburb of Zwierzyniec and are arriving into the Krakow marketplace.  To prevent damage in shipping, some parts may be shipped un-assembled.  Assembly is easy but will require a little white glue like Elmer's.
