Polish Baroque is a truly vast epoch spanning the beginning of the 17th century and the last decades of the 18th century.  The Concerto Polacco Baroque music ensemble was founded in 1991 at the initiative of the harpsicord player and organist Marek Topoorowski.  
The ensemble specializes in 17th and 18th century music performed on period instruments in line with the requirements of the performing practice at the time.  They have given concerts in Poland, Germany, Russia and Belarus.  It has taken part in numerous festivals, including the Warsaw Autmn and Wratislawia Cantans, and made many recordings for Polish Radio.  In 1993 it received the Third Prize at the Early Music Ensembles Competition in Melk (Austria).
