Reprint of a 19th Century map of Galicia which was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and encompassed parts of present day Poland and the Ukraine. This map shows the borders between Prussia, Russia and Austria. Highly detailed with names of many small towns and villages all in Polish making this a good tool for genealogical research. Many Poles who emigrated in this time period listed Galicia their home region. Nicely colored and suitable for framing. Map author was Karl Flemming (1806-1878) of Glogau (Present day Glogow, Silesia in Poland).
