Alder buckthorn is safe for most adults when used for less than 8 days. Using alder buckthorn for more than 8 days can be unsafe because it might cause problems such as low potassium; heart problems; muscle weakness; and blood problems, including blood in the urine. Some people get uncomfortable cramps from alder buckthorn. If you experience diarrhea or watery stools while using alder buckthorn, stop taking it.
Alder buckthorn is UNSAFE for children younger than 12 years of age.
Do not take alder buckthorn if:
•You are pregnant or breast-feeding.
•You have a blockage in your intestine.
•You have an intestine disorder such as appendicitis, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), or ulcerative colitis.
•You have stomach pain.
•You have diarrhea.
Directions: Put 1 teabag into a mug and add freshly boiled water. Let it infuse for 10 min. under a cover. Ready to drink herbal tea in the evening, after eating. Laxative effect takes an average of 6 - 8 hours.
Drink 1 cup per day while dieting. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. This product cannot be used as the substitute of a differential diet.
Not recommended for use longer than 7 - 10 days.
