The Ethnographic Museum in Krakow published this album in 2005 based on their collections accumulated over a century and through active contacts with artists and craftsmen of the Malopolska (Little Poland) region.  The album is devoted to selected crafts, areas of art, handicrafts and skills, which are, on the one hand deeply rooted in Polish folk traditions, and on the other hand, connected with seemingly vanishing crafts.  In addition to its educational values, this album has a practical aspect.  Interest in Poland is growing in Europe.  Earlier and more intensive urbanization and industrialization and an increasing pressure from mass culture have caused a situation in which the longing for local aspects and authenticity is becoming increasingly strong in these countries.  The album is aimed at reviving vanishing traditions and to point out what should be preserved and continued.  Included are the following sections with color illustrations:
