Polish General And Patriot Of The American Revolution
As a young man growing up in Poland. Thaddeus Kosciuszko was educated at the Knight's School, which was a military academy.  His engineering skills, belief in liberty, and determination landed him a leadership position designing fortifications at West Point for the Continental Army. Kosciuszko returned to Poland after the Revolutionary War to lead a Polish uprising against the Russians.  Here we see him from that period wearing the traditional Krakow folk costume, the city from which he rallied the Polish population.

This traditional Polish doll set is completely hand made the old fashioned way with paper mache, dress materials and paints.  The doll is clothed in authentic regional folk custume as certified by the Polish Ministry of Culture.  Notice the attention to detail and fine workmanship.
