It seemed to me that there was no point in recording songs such as Baja-Bongo, Mexicana, Que Sera Sera, Capri, La Chuchuracha and many other similar ones found on this CD. It seemed to me that we remember the old versions of the songs too well to enjoy Ela Szaniewska's new versions. It seemed to me that Stasiek Wielanek's personality, an outstanding bard of ballads from Czerniakow, archivist and folklore supporter of old Warsaw street bands, would suppress the universal power of these world hits.
However, this album's success has proved me wrong. It has been a big hit with Polonia throughout the world. We know you will enjoy it too!
