One-of-a-kind hand-woven tapestry (rug) which is a copy of the well known pastel drawing by Stanislaw Wyspianski, titled: Spiacy Mietek (Sleeping Mietek), completed in 1904, the original currently hangs in the Museum of Art in Lodz. This beautiful wall hanging is a faithful recreation of his work and makes a superb addition to any art-lover's collection.
Stanislaw Wyspianski most frequently used the technique of pastel; his first pastel drawings were produced between 1890 and 1894. They mainly present the artistís family, friends and other artists. Wyspianski eagerly drew his children in everyday situations such as sleeping or feeding.
