Polish wooden plates are made from Linden wood in the mountain region of southern Poland called Podhale.  The plates are cut and shaped on a lathe by hand.  The floral designs are burned into the wood then painted after staining and varnishing. All the flowers are surrounded by inlaid brass as well as two exterior rings.   They are delightful works of folk art to be cherished for generations.  All plates are made by hand so colors and designs vary slightly.
