If not the largest or most comprehensive gathering of Polish painting abroad, the collection of the Kosciuszko Foundation is undoubtedly one of the most important.  Viewed by thousands of visitors annually the collection provides a unique opportunity to consider Polish art within the larger context of European and American art.   It is in hopes of fostering a greater appreciation of our collection as an exceptional resource that this catalogue has been published.
