Piotr Michałowski’s artistic work is a unique phenomenon in the art of Polish Romanticism. The wealthy landowner was barely known by his contemporaries, even though he created a profoundly individualistic artistic vision of the world. The works contained in the album are mostly from the rich collection of the National Museum in Cracow.
