Anna Szostak and Camerata Silesia

The collection of carols featured on this CD can be described as canonical. It comprises twenty three carols; alongside the hugely popular ones there are several that are less known. The arrangements presented by the Camerata Silesia are fundamentally different from all previous ones for two main reasons:

  1. The carols are performed by a chamber vocal ensemble of highly exceptional interpretive qualities.
  2. The melodies are in new arrangements by a living Polish composer.

Traditional carols care presented in a new contemporary light, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the music and the message of the words. Each carol is in a different key, adding to the diversity of colours. There is a booklet included which contains more detail about the choir as well as the words to all the carols in Polish and English.
