Description

Motor City Incense - (8) one-hour sticks of incense, in Newberry Blueberry aroma.

ABOUT THIS INCENSE

Available in a wide variety of bold fragrances.  Burned properly, each stick should last more than 60 minutes, and the fragrance will linger long after that.  To light your incense, place the wooden end into a heatproof holder.  Light the thicker scented end with a match and allow it to burn for a few seconds until the tip begins to glow.  Blow the flame out and allow the incense to smolder.  The incense must smolder, not burn, for you to get the great aroma and full enjoyment for an hour or more.

Please burn safely! Do not allow the ash to fall onto any flammable surface.  Many decorative holders are made just for burning incense.  For safety, only burn your incense in an incense holder.

The oils used in this incense may seep.  We recommend keeping your incense wrapped in its plastic bag until ready for use.

THE COVER ART

Mark Arminski, one of Detroit's wold famous concert poster designers, has designed the colorful artwork for Motor City Incense.

In high school, Mark would create his own rock concert posters during class lectures -- influenced by legendary local poster artists such as Gary Grimshaw and Carl Lundren.  Growing up in the 60s and 70s left a big impression on his work, from his early appreciation of bands like the Doors and Jimi Hendrix to his interest in pop art.  Mark would go to Detroit's legendary Grande Ballroom shows in the 60s, but didn't get involved in making art bands until later on.

Arminski produces some of the country's most vivid and talked about concert posters.  His work has a distinctly 1960's feel and poster-art collectors rave about his lettering style.  Mark's attempt to revive a generation has made him an icon of success among rock collectors and has given him an outlet to design broadsides for a diverse group of acts such as The Grateful Dead, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Detroit Cobras, Jill Jack and many others.

Arminski's colorful handbills and posters hang in Germany's Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe, Cleveland's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and St. Petersburg's Salvadore Dali Museum.  Of course, you can see them anytime on www.arminski.com.
