If you like Russian/Slavic cooking you will enjoy this book. Not sure why the title mentions Polish cuisine as there does not appear to be any recipes identified as specifically Polish. Here is the author's forward.
"Russian cuisine demonstrates simplicity in cooking, good nutrition, (and) at the same time portraying overwhelming eye appeal. Eye appeal influences ones perception of taste for foods, in turn arousing the appetite. Russian culture provides a paradise of plenty, with large, large gardens, many berries, grains, mushrooms, dairy products, fish and meats, allowing any cook to work with an unmeasured variety of colors, textures and shapes. An opportunity to offer the grandest of meals. This book is designed to portray these qualities, and at the same time provides for superior taste".
