Dear Polka Fans!
It's hard to believe that forty years have gone by since the first time I played in public, Labor Day Weekend of 1968!
That was with Li'l Wally in Dover, New Jersey.  The following summer I got my first concertina and met the "Master", Casey "fingers" Siewierski.  Casey's influence on my career is priceless.  I still keep in touch with his wife irene and her compliments are always encouraging and treasured.
I still have fond memories of my grandmother, Aunt Adelka and Uncle Joe, singing old Polish songs.  You can't imagine what a thrill it always was for this kid to sit in with greats like Casey, Wally, Happy Louie, Eddie Blazonczyk and Marion Lush.  They were all very inspirational.
For more than fifteen years I had the privlege of playing with two of the best honky-style musicians in the Polka field...drummer Jimmy Moga and trumpet-man Bob "Flash" Krupka.  I'm so happy we were able to re-unite for this special recording.  We still have a blas whenever we play together.
This album is dedicated to my parents who are celebrating their 65th Anniversary in April 2008 as well as Polka Annie Martin, Bett Masztal and Lucy Rombkowski.  It is also dedicated to the memory of Lou and Helen Banasiak, John and Celia Kowalczyk and Mary "Patches" Paczkowski.
