This beautiful hand carved crucifix comes from Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains of southern Poland.  Amazing carving detail is possible with this larger version, see the close-up photo.  This item has additional workmanship in the coloration of the wood and hand painted facial details, clothing, hair, crown of thorns and blood stains on the wounds.  Absolutely stunning and so lifelike.
