The 2009 calendar, lists an historical event with each day of the year. Every day relates to an important event which took place on that day in the long and colorful history of Hamtramck. In addition, the 40-page calendar includes dozens of historical photos of the city, including the important persons and events that made Hamtramck what it is today.
From the formation of Hamtramck Township (Jan. 1, 1798) to the day Hamtramckan Leon Zarski won a Grammy award (Feb. 24, 1987) and beyond, the Hamtramck calendar is packed with fascinating footnotes of history.
Proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Hamtramck Historical Commission and its continuing efforts to preserve Hamtramck’s history. |
