With the enlargement of the Main Building of the National Museum in Krakow, new opportunities opened for staging the first permanent exhibition of the Museum's collection of arms and armour, which in terms of size and significance is second only to the Polish Military Museum in Warsaw. This arrangement ensures a clear presentation of the nearly one-thousand-year-long history of Polish arms, armours and uniforms. This concise English language guidebook highlights in text and color photos the major contents of the nine exhibition rooms. Also included is a historical outline of the collection as well as a glossary of terms. If you are interested in Polish military history you will enjoy this guide book. |
