Magdalena Nowacka-Jannotta will introduce your and your students to the fascinating art of Polish papercutting.  Known as wycinanki (vee-chee-non-kee), this art is most widely practiced in rural villages and used to beautify homes and barns.  Scenes of everyday life in Poland set the stage for Magdalena's demonstration.  Your students will love watching her cut with her favorite tool, a pair of sheep shears!  Brightly colored papers are cut into intricate patterns and layered to produce vibrant designs.  The possibilities for creativity are endless.
