Who is Artman?  Maciej Manowiecki is Artman.  Artman is know for his unique, whimsical style, in which he crafts figures of wood and metal. His work can be characterized by the use of unconfined form, vibrant color, and lightness of style which brings each piece to life.
Maciej Manowiecki was born in 1944 in Poland.  He received a masters degree in Engineering from the technical and artistic school in Krakow.  In 1973 he formed his sculpture gallery and in 1977 he received a degree in Artistic Craftmanship.  His work has been exhibited in Europe, Asia, Scandanavia, and the United States.
This Polish Big Bird is carved from several pieces of wood which are painted and assembled.
Mr Manowiecki's unpretentious sculptures are a great find for people looking to present a decor, or purchase a gift, expressing a personal touch - a quality consistant in all of Artman's work.
